Elizabeth Gale BSc (Hons)
Physiotherapy MCSP, Company Director
(known as Libby to her patients and colleagues), graduated from The
University of East London in 1997 with a BSc (Hons) degree
in Physiotherapy. She began her career working at The
Homerton Hospital where she completed her junior rotations in
neurology, respiratory, paediatrics and musculoskeletal
physiotherapy. Libby then moved to a senior position within
the hospital treating patients with pain and injury. Libby
first became involved at Citisport when she completed her
post graduate acupuncture training with Dr John Reynolds in
1999. She began full time employment at the clinic in 2000
and in 2004 became a Director and co-owner. Libby prides
herself in her ability to empathise with her patients and
has gained vast experience in treating patients with a wide
range of skeletal pain and injury. She now specialises in
acupuncture and the rehabilitation of patients with low back
pain.

Mike Sutton BSC
(Hons) MCSP Sports Injury Rehabilitation Co-director
After 6 years of working
as a personal trainer and strength coach, Mike returned to
university in Salford to complete a degree in Sports Injury Rehabilitation and
graduated in 1999 with Honours. Since then he has worked in the private
sector as a lecturer and physiotheropist clients with non
sporting injuries. Mike has a particular interest in
biomechanics and posture. As well as using manual therapy,
he uses exercise prescription as a method of restoring
functional movement patterns to areas of dysfunction. With
the emphasis on active rehabilitation the ultimate goal is
for every client to be fully involved in the treatment
process.

Geoff Thistleton
BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy MCSP SRP
Graduated in 2000 with
BSc (Hons) in physiotherapy. Currently works for the N.H.S
as a clinical specialist in physiotherapy. Also works
alongside orthopaedic surgeons in both upper limb and
fracture clinics as an extended scope practitioner. He is
the lead physio for the paediatric musculoskeletal team in
Central Surrey Health Ltd (N.H.S).Qualified and practicing
acupuncture since 2001. Full private medical insurance
recognition. Been working in the private sector sine 2002.

Richard Baker
BSc (hons) Physiotherapy MCSP SRP
Richie
has been working for Citisport for 2 1/2 years and is a
part-time tennis coach. He is a health care professional who
provides services to individuals to develop maintain and
restore maximum movement and functional ability to his
patients. This includes providing treatments in
circumstances where movement and function are threatened by
aging, injury, disease or environmental factors. Richie
utilizes an individual's history and physical examination to
arrive at a diagnosis and establish a management plan, and
when necessary, incorporate the results of imaging studies.

Nigel Kettle BSc
(Hons) Ost Registered Osteopath
Nigel qualified from the British School
of Osteopathy in 1999 and since then has been a General
Osteopathic Council (GOsC) Registered Osteopath. Prior to
that, he was a professional sports and complementary
therapist for eight years. In addition to working at
Citisport he has private practices in Reigate and
East Sussex. He is also principal lecturer in
Osteopathic technique at ‘Surrey Institute of Osteopathic
Medicine’ an internationally recognized qualification degree
course based in Surrey.
Working primarily as a structural osteopath, he uses the
traditional osteopathic techniques of soft tissue,
articulation and manipulation, also incorporating western
medical acupuncture/dry needling, electrotherapy and
exercise prescription into treatment as appropriate. A wide
range of musculoskeletal disorders including back, neck and
shoulder pain, headaches, and sport and work-related
injuries respond especially well to osteopathic treatment.
Other commonly treated conditions include pregnancy care,
migraine, asthma, arthritic pain, digestive disorders and
infantile colic.Nigel also trained as a cranial osteopath.
This is a refined and subtle type of osteopathic treatment
that encourages the release of stresses and tensions
throughout the body, including the head. It is a very
gentle, safe and effective form of osteopathy, and may be
used to treat a wide range of conditions from birth to old
age.

Steven Harding
Sports and Thai massage Therapist
Steve's passion for
bodywork began in 2002 when he attended an introductory
Sports & Remedial Massage course with the London School of
Sports Massage (LSSM). The LSSM/BTEC diploma course followed
with Steve qualifying with honours in early 2004. Since
qualification Steve has worked in physiotherapy clinics in
both London and Surrey where his clients have ranged from
recreational to professional sportspeople and professional
performers from both the Royal Ballet and
London's West End. Steve is a fully insured member of the Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage and is
registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare
Council and with the British Association of Performing Arts
Medicine. He is also a certified Thai Yoga Massage
therapist. In addition to massage therapy Steve has a keen
interest in both yoga and mindfulness meditation and he
always seeks to draw on these wider influences in his
massage work.

Deborah
McGovern, Dip Nutritional Medicine
Nutritionalist Deborah
was awarded a Diploma in Nutritional Medicine in 1998,
having studied at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in
London under the guidance of Patrick Holford, one
of the UK’s leading nutritionists and
health commentators. Deborah joined Citisport in 2000 and
offers individually-tailored nutritional and lifestyle
advice. Her aim is to help clients understand the root cause
of their health problems and to educate and encourage them
to follow a path towards optimum health. She uses detailed
health appraisal questionnaires, diet sheets and, where
appropriate, food supplements (vitamins, minerals, essential
fatty acids and other natural compounds). She has access to
clinic, laboratory and home testing services to assess bone
density, cholesterol and blood fats, thyroid, gut, adrenal
and liver functions. Particular areas of interest include
diabetes, weight management, gut health, osteoporosis and
anti-inflammatory protocols. Deborah attends post-graduate
training courses and reads widely around the area of what
makes both a healthy body and a healthy mind.
